Real Madrid to pay €115 million to sign Liverpool star and more

Premier League transfer roundup for the day! Real Madrid to pay €115 million to sign Liverpool star just day after loosing to Barcelona in El Clasico , the transfer rumor mill is still ceaselessly bringing out stories like just another day.

In fact, a lot of future stories depend on the outcome of the Clasico but right now, here are the top transfer stories of the day…

Lukaku and United ridiculed
When a team starts losing while its striker is off form, they become the target of a lot of ridicule. On top of that, if the said striker of the said team opens himself to a move to a top club, there will be more mud thrown.

A few days ago, Romelu Lukaku claimed that he could one day move to Serie A with Juventus being the club he mentioned. However, Sky Sports pundit Alan McInally believes that Romelu Lukaku doesn’t have the ability to play for a club of the stature of Juventus.

“I think Jose (Mourinho) is very, very frustrated with the players, he’s brought in and when he sees some players, like Lukaku who’s going through a really poor time at the moment, say ‘yeah I can play for Juventus’,” McInally said.

“Really? Juventus will be like ‘what?’. I don’t think so somehow.”

He then further added that the current United team are just not good enough, going as far as claiming that 60% of the players that currently ply their trade at the Old Trafford don’t have the necessary ability to do so.

“I genuinely think the United fans are still going to games thinking ‘we can be this good, because these players are surely good because they’re playing for Manchester United’.

“But the reality is, 60 per cent of these players are not good enough to play for Manchester United.

“That’s why the results are very, very up and down.”

4 Everton and Palace

Everton have made a decent start to the Premier League this season with 15 points from 9 games thus far. They are 5 points behind the top six spots but have a game in hand.

However, there is always room for improvement and Marco Silva may want to improve his frontline as the rumour mill is linking the Toffees with a move for Leicester striker Jamie Vardy.

According to the Mirror, the manager wants the club to spend £25 million on the English striker, whose rocky relationship with Claude Puel could make him move.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are eying a move for talented League One star Dru Yearwoord. According to reports, Crystal Palace have been impressed with his performances for his club this season.

As a result, they are monitoring him and would like the 18-year-old to be a part of their first team somewhere down the line.

3 Manchester madness

This has come earlier than it usually does, doesn’t it? Nevertheless, Manchester United have been strangely quieter than normal in the last few days but here we are today with a bit of madness.

The Red Devils' search for defender didn’t stop last summer as they weren’t able to entice even one to join them. As a result, it is highly likely that they would sign someone in January and the man that has been linked now is Harry Maguire.

According to the Sun, Jose Mourinho, who reportedly wanted the Red Devils to sign him in the summer has asked the board to go for him once again in the winter. The price quoted this time around is £60 million.

Meanwhile, there is another defender linked to the Red Devils today as Don Balon claim that Jose Mourinho is looking to sign a full-back and has targeted Felipe Luis, who has lost his first-team spot to Lucas Hernandez.

2 North London

Tottenham and Arsenal might not have won many titles recently but matches between them always display the quality at which the two teams operate. Of late, Spurs have been better than their fiercest rivals but Unai Emery seems to have instilled the Gunners with a sense of invincibility.

Spurs are also doing well despite not making any signings in the summer. The fans might have been disappointed with how things happened in the transfer market but they might be ecstatic with what Don Balon claim.

The Spanish outlet report that Garth Bale wants to go back to Spurs and has already contacted his former club to inform of his desire.

Meanwhile, Arsenal could make a shocking move for former Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata on a free transfer, say Express. The Spaniard’s contract ends after the end of the season and Unai Emery could capitalise on it.

1 New Liverpool player on Madrid radar ft. Spurs

[caption id="attachment_917" align="alignnone" width="513"]Mane to Madrid? Mane to Madrid?[/caption]

Well, well, every day is a new day and it seems as though with each new day, a new Liverpool player is linked with a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona. At first, it was Mohamed Salah and then it was Roberto Firmino.

And now, it is Sadio Mane. According to Don Balon, Florentino Perez is looking at the option of signing Sadio Mane. The advantage here is that he isn’t as coveted as his Brazilian and Egyptian team-mate.

As a result, Madrid are looking to sign him and could bring him to the Bernabeu for something around €115 million.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur might not be the most active club in the market – if at all – but they certainly are keen to tie down their best players on long-term contracts.

The Sun claim that Spurs are looking to make Eriksen sign a new deal with the club after the Dane admitted that he is happy in North London.
