Jurgen Klopp shares what Virgil Van Dijk told him after Liverpool's draw with Arsenal

Jurgen Klopp has admitted to Match of the Day, which was broadcast on BBC One on 3rd November, that Virgil Van Dijk told him he should have had a hat-trick for Liverpool against Arsenal .
Van Dijk was handed multiple chances to score during the match, but he could not convert.
The powerful defender was denied on numerous occasions by Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno, as Liverpool could only pick up a 1-1 draw.

And Klopp admits that Van Dijk was frustrated with his display, as he felt he should have got on the scoresheet.
The Liverpool boss revealed: “He said after the game I should have had a hat-trick. I was not a good football player, but I was really good at heading, and I would have scored three today.”

Van Dijk may not have shown his best in an attacking sense, but he was very solid at the back with Joe Gomez.
Van Dijk proved to be a tough test for Arsenal’s forwards to get past, as his good form in Liverpool’s defence continued.
Liverpool were eventually undone though, when Alexandre Lacazette rescued a point for the hosts late on.
Liverpool have still moved to the top of the table, after their draw at the Emirates Stadium.
