Liverpool star sets new record as Klopp’s men left it late to beat Spurs

Jurgen Klopp side left it late to beat top four hopefuls Tottenham in their Premier League match on Sunday evening at Anfield as Liverpool star Andy Robertson sets new record . Jurgen Klopp side started the day two points behind Manchester City and needed to win to keep up pace with Pep Guardiola having played a game more.

And they just did that thanks to goals from Roberto Firmino and an own goal from Tottenham’s Jan Vertoghen. It was a brilliant finish to the game which had everything.

Liverpool took the lead when Andy Robertson picked Roberto Firmino with a brilliant cross for the Brazilian to head it in. However, Spurs got back on level terms following a brilliant cut back from Christian Eriksen for Lucas Moura to finish from close range.

But there was more drama to come and it was Liverpool’s main man who has been guilty of being selfish that was Reds hero of the day. The former headed in from close range though Hugo Loris should have done better.

Nevertheless, the Reds won’t care as they return to the top of the table with game against Southampton to come on Friday next.
